Formed in the fall of 2006, Kiss the Messenger worked diligently for over a year in their Toronto studio writing dozens of songs, and honing their sound. Founded by Royal Conservatory-trained musician Mathieu Droit, a self-described “synth-nut,” this duo pushes you further and further into the future while still keeping your feet planted firmly on a nineteen-eighties dance floor. The face of Kiss the Messenger is Jaclyn Kaye, a singer whose powerful voice can make you fall in love, fall over, or fall asleep at her will.
